Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder affects focus, emotional regulation, attention, motivation and executive functioning. It is one of the most commonly identified neurodevelopmental conditions in childhood, yet it shows up differently in every young person. Some children appear energetic and fast-paced. Others are quiet, internal and easily overlooked. Many experience challenges with organisation, impulsivity or frustration, especially in busy environments.
Our ADHD support is grounded in evidence, experience and genuine understanding. As neurodivergent clinicians, we recognise that ADHD is not a character flaw or a lack of effort. It is a difference in how the brain manages information, time and emotion. Therapy focuses on supporting the child, strengthening their skills and helping families understand what ADHD looks like in everyday life.
Successful ADHD support requires a flexible, practical and strengths-focused approach. We adapt each session to suit the child’s learning style and regulation needs. Some children benefit from movement-based sessions. Others prefer structured tasks or brief bursts of focused activity. The goal is to create an environment where the young person feels capable, connected and understood.
We also work closely with parents and schools so strategies are consistent across settings. Clear communication helps children thrive, and predictable routines build confidence.
Many young people with ADHD feel emotions intensely. Small frustrations can escalate quickly, and transitions often feel overwhelming. We help children recognise their early signs of dysregulation, understand their emotional patterns and learn calming strategies that work for their specific brain and sensory profile.
Sessions may include CBT, ACT-informed strategies, co-regulation, and strengths-based problem solving.

Behaviours seen in ADHD often reflect stress, difficulty with emotion regulation, sensory overload or a mismatch between the task and the child’s capacity. We help families understand the underlying reason for behaviours and develop realistic strategies that improve safety, reduce conflict and build cooperation.
Our behaviour support is non-punitive and relationship-based.
Some children with ADHD struggle to read social cues, manage impulsivity or maintain friendships. We support young people to build skills in communication, perspective-taking, conflict resolution and self-advocacy. Therapy focuses on real-life application and helping the child feel more confident socially.
We collaborate with teachers and learning support teams to create helpful classroom adjustments. These might include alternative seating, movement breaks, visual instructions, modified workloads or specific executive functioning supports.
Our recommendations are practical and aligned with school routines.
We provide assessments that help clarify a young person’s strengths, challenges and support needs. This may include ADHD screening, cognitive assessments, adaptive functioning, executive functioning profiles and school-based observations.
Assessment outcomes are explained clearly so families feel informed and supported when making decisions about next steps.
Raising a child with ADHD can feel unpredictable. We offer guidance that helps parents understand the brain behind the behaviour and respond with clarity and consistency. Sessions often cover routines, motivation strategies, emotional coaching and how to create a supportive home environment.

We offer structured groups that help children practise social skills, build emotional awareness and strengthen executive functioning.
